Born in New York City and raised in Toronto, Evan studied architecture at the Toronto Metropolitan University before returning to New York for a master’s degree in architecture at Pratt Institute. Before moving to the West coast, Evan has enjoyed practicing at boutique and global institutions from working on mixed-use skyscrapers, luxury residential towers, country estates, and beach homes. Evan’s extensive residential work in Manhattan, the Connecticut countryside, and the Hamptons made for a seamless transition to the California coast, where he has been passionately honing his craft for the past 7 years. Evan favors residential design for its intimacy of scale – enjoying every attention to detail. He brings strong skills and experience in project management and construction, along with established relationships at city hall, making him our lead in obtaining construction permits and approvals for our projects small and large at Burdge Architects.
